Sona Masoori Indian Non-Basmati Rice

Sona Masoori is a medium grain Non-Basmati Rice, grown in the Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Uttar Pradesh region of India. It is very economical low-cost rice & comes with an average grain length of 5 MM – 5.1 MM. Sona Masoori rice contains less starch and is easily digestible. It is largely exported to West Africa, South Africa, East Africa and Bangladesh. The elongation ratio of the grain is 1.25 times if cooked well. It is available in Raw/ white, Steam & Sella/ Parboiled rice forms.
